About This Item
Burbank, CA: Warner Brothers, 1950. Vintage studio still photograph of actress Marlene Dietrich from the 1950 film.
Based on the 1948 novel "Man Running" by Selwyn Jepson, published as "Outrun the Constable" in the US, and originally serialized in "Colliers" the previous year. A key Hitchcock film, made during his brief return to the UK between 1948 and 1950. Filmed under the auspices of Warner Brothers, but in London with two non-Brits cast in the lead. For this film, Hitchcock once again made use of unusually long takes, a technique developed in "Rope" (1948) and "Under Capricorn" (1949).
8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, with some creasing.
Grant US. Selby UK. Spicer UK.
