Sold by George Philip & Son, Ltd, The London Geographical Institute, 32 Fleet St., London, E.C., with their label. 38.5 x 25.5", folding to 4.5 x 6.75", with original green cloth boards with yellow printed label. Front board of cover detached, not affecting map, o/w in very good condition.

London: Edward Stanford, 1924. Colored lithographic map on linen backing, 40" by 26 1/2" folded in 36 panels to 6 5/8" by 4 3/8". Scale 1: 6,969,600. 110 English statute miles to 1 inch. Shows railways, projected railways, submarine telegraph cables, treaty ports and ports open to trade. Maroon boards with yellow title label lightly bumped with a touch of wear at the corners and spine ends. Spine and upper edge of the front board a bit sunned. A few small spots to the linen backing, not visible through to the map. . Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
