Thomas Starr King's (1824-1864) anti-slavery advocacy wasinstrumental in Lincoln's narrow victory in California and keeping the state loyal to the Union in the Civil War. A Near Fine,crisp copy (Slight edgewear; Pencilled gift inscription at FFE) in a Very Good or better dust jacket (Some soiling and toning), now in a clear mylar protective sleeve.
