Indexed plates including frontis and five folded plates in pocket to rear pastedown, collated to index. Folded plates in original folds and without tears. Brown cloth w black lettering to spine. No wear to covers or spine. Binding square and sound. Octavo. n.d. This Sweetman printing reproduced by photolithographic process from the 1932 W & G Foyle: (London) edition, which was taken from the1794 edition. "With fifty-nine folding and other plates, drawn to scale, illustrating the masts, sails, yards, rigging, etc., for every class of vessel from the full-rigged ship to the ship's boat, including the progressive method of rigging ships, and an illustrated section describing the principal foreign rigs.
