Previous owner's name and date written on bottom of front endpaper. Near fine copy in a near fine dust jacket with a touch of edgewear. Jacket is in a mylar protector. Vavara Stepanova was a major artist who significantly contributed to the Russian avant-garde, and was one of the founders of Russian Constructivism, contributing to the seminal "5x5=25" exhibit. The text includes excerpts from her diary and most of the illustrations are seen here for the first time. She was married to Alexander Rodchenko.
