N.Y.: Scribners, 1905. 1st US edition, April 1905. 393+ 4 pages of ads with frontispiece and 7 other illustrations. Illustrations by George W Lambert. Bound in original publisher's green cloth with pictorial to cover and gilt lettering to spine and green lettering to cover. Bottom edge shows some wear, lightly soiled at spine foot and along front bottom edge. The book consists of ten short stories. These are the adventures of an Australian bushranger in the Riverina and North Eastern Victoria. Stingaree was also an American pre-Code romantic drama film, directed by William A. Wellman released by RKO Radio Pictures in 1934. Set in Australia, it stars Irene Dunne as Hilda Bouverie and Richard Dix as Stingaree.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Lambert, George W. Book.
