London: Macmillan and Co, 1885. Very Good -. London: Macmillan and Co., 1885. First Edition. Three octavo volumes. 280 p.; 280 p.; 269 p. + 2 p. advertisements. Dark blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. BAL binding variant "A," with no priority established. Brown endpapers.
Boards are worn along extremities with exposure and loss at spine ends. Joints of volume III exposed. Moderate rippling to front and rear boards. Slight lean to spine. Bindings holding, though volume III a bit shaky. Sparse pencil annotations to end of volume I, but otherwise pages unmarked.
This set was printed in a run of 500 copies, and includes "The Author of 'Beltraffio,'" "A Day of Days," and "Master Eustace," among others.
