Two vibrantly illustrated 'Babar' children's books by Jean and Laurent de Brunhoff. Reprints. Two volumes. Illustrated with vibrant full colour illustrations by the authors. This set includes 'The Story of Babar', written by Jean de Brunhoff and is the first book in the series and introduced the popular elephant, and 'Picnic at Babar's' which was written and illustrated by Laurent de Brunhoff, Jean's son, after his father's death. The stories follow the charming elephant 'Babar' on his adventures. In the publisher's original pictorial hardback. Externally smart with bumping to the extremities, slight rubbing to the head and tail of the spine, slight marks, tears to the laminate covering to the front joint to 'Picnic at Babar's', with laminate covering cockling slightly to both volumes. Minimal offsetting to the front free endpaper to 'The Story of Babar', Internally firmly bound with clean and generally bright pages. Very Good Indeed
