Pages are moderately tanned with visible foxing. Moderate cracking to gutters. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and faint marking to boards. Moderate sunning to spine, which has mild crushing to ends.

London : Kegan Paul Trench Trubner & Co, 1895 Superb full leather limited edition large paper copy, published in 1895, and numbered 96 of 250. All page edges gilt. Hugh Thomson was commissioned to illustrate Rosina, having illustrated other Austin Dobson volumes, and his illustrations are praised by Dobson in his preface. In red full leather binding with gilt tooling to boards and gilt compartments to spine. The binding is in very good condition with a little rubbing at the edges, a little scuffing to boards and a little darkening to one section of the front board. The contents with numerous full page tissue-guarded illustrations by Thomson, are in very good clean condition. There is very occasional light marking - mostly on tissue guards.

Numbered 234. octavo, xix + 120pp, 10¼ x 8¼ inches, original cream cloth with gilt lettering. Spine darkened, repaired tear to top, two small holes in spine. Cover discoloured with a few foxing spots. 14 engraved plates with tissue guards and several line drawings by Hugh Thomson. Boards soiled, the spine darkened. Endpapers browned . Contents clean, tight and bright with a very few foxing spots to page edges. .
