About This Item

[ New Haven, CT ]: Midsummer Night's Press, 1992. First Edition. Broadside. Fine. First Edition. A POETRY BROADSIDE Signed by Yolen. 7 7/16 inches by 17 3/8 inches. Printed on a textured yellow paper stock, with black ink printing. Woodblock(?) illustration of a hand in brown ink. Limitation notes it was published in an edition of 100 signed numbered copies offered for sale and 26 lettered copies reserved for the author of which this is number #64 of 126 copies. Broadside. A Midsummer Night's Press was founded in New Haven CT in 1991. It focused on hand-printing on a letterpress, publishing broadsides of poems by Nancy Willard, Joe Halderman, and Jane Yolen, among others, in signed, limited editions. In 1993, the publisher moved to NY and the press went into hiatus. Given the small time the press was in operation we have been unable to determine how many examples made it into circulation.
