London: Alexander Moring Limited ( At the De La More Press ). Very Good with no dust jacket. (1922). 1st Thus (Publisher). Hardcover. No Date, but Copac (National, Academic, and Specialist Library Catalogue) gives the date as 1922. Light brown paper covered boards with a pictorial paper label/onlay on the front cover with titling and a picture of the Willow Pattern Plate - all in blue/white - as is the Plate of course - and a circular onlay illustration of the plate on the rear cover. No dustjacket. The boards show slight signs of wear (a little tiny chipping to the head of the spine and a bump/indent to the top edge) but overall the boards are clean, unmarked and are VG. The paper label has a little light foxing. Plain Endpapers, but the front pastedown has a former owner's signature and location in old faded ink. 33 pp + [1] p. Illustrated in blue/white, here and there in the text, with segments of the story/plate. Printed on quality paper but irregularly sized pages as with many private presses. The contents also include 'Old China' From Charles Lamb's Essay (2pp) , and An Introduction to 'The Willow Pattern' by Alexander Moring. (4 pps). " The History of the Willow Pattern, introduced into Britain in about 1780 - and the story the design is alleged to depict adapted from an old version in Family Friend Vol 1 1849." . Overall an Excellent Very Clean, Tight and Bright Near Fine copy. ; The Saint George Series; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .

With minimal tanning throughout. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed.
