Tinted lithograph, marked 'Proof', spotting, central fold, tear affecting head of one of the riders, In this satire based on Stothard's original picture the couple on the horse in the centre of the picture are Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The Lord Chancellor Lord Cottenham on horseback carries the flitch, attended by Wellington and Palmerston, and followed by Melbourne.
