Facsimile of the 1837 first edition of the first of Dickens's plays to be performed, in its original "the scarcest and costliest of all Dickens pamphlets" (Eckel). Octavo (190 x 127 mm). Early 20th-century brown morocco by Tout, spine lettered in gilt, marbled sides and endpapers, gilt edges. Frontispiece drawn and engraved by Pailthorpe (present in duplicate in this copy, one hand-coloured). Lightly rubbed. A very good copy. Eckel p. 154 (mentioning this facsimile edition).
