An Irish nationalist and friend to AE, James Joyce, and Thomas MacDonagh, Stephens (1880-1950) became popular through his poetry and novels that often retold Irish myths and fairy tales.This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition - a late collection, as Stephens spent more time on a broadcasting career after moving to England. Bright blue cloth binding with gilt titling on the spine and front cover. Clean text; 53 pages. Endpapers tanned, some scattered spotting throughout; cover a bit mottled. The dustjacket is clipped; chips at head and foot of spine, small closed tear, some light edgewear; flaps and rear panel show tanning. In an archival plastic protector.. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
