About This Item
Hollywood and Toronto: Studio & Artists (Cameo Music Reproduction) and St. Lawrence Music, Inc., 1958. An original "acetate" demo record by Johnny Cowell (1926-2018), who was a Canadian trumpet player and successful composer. One of his songs, "These Are the Young Years" was featured in the groundbreaking TV series Breaking Bad. "Stroll Along with the Blues" was used in a scene in the British comedy film " Two Way Stretch" starring Peter Sellers. Accompanying the record are two different trifold music sheets that were intended to establish the composer's copyright. Both have the same lyrics and music, though publishing credits differ. The sheet music is in very good condition. The record appears to be scratch free, but it has the usual gray coating found on such discs--no attempt to clean it has been made.. First Edition. Very Good.
