Signed and dated in pencil on the front free endpaper by Mary FitzGibbon, who edited Traill's last book, Cot and Cradle Stories (Briggs, 1895), having provided a biographical sketch for her previous book, Pearls and Pebbles (Briggs, 1894). Bound in green cloth with gilt title and pictorial to front board and spine. Light wear to head and heel and very light wear at some points along edges; plates 10 and 11 missing tissue guards.
