A near fine copy in unread condition. There is slight signs of wear at the tips of the front cover. A comprehensive history of the area west of downtown Toronto known as Parkdale. According to the author, the area went through three stages; the early period as an independent suburb, a burgeoning slum, and a renewal as an 'urban village'. The text includes some historic photographs, charts, and maps, a list of references, and index.
