About This Item
Boston: Phillips, Sampson & Co., 1854. Worn two volume set in dark brown cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in blind. Fair condition with cover rubbing, chips to spine ends, surface separation of spine covering along rear joint, hinges good, text blocks basically sound but no longer tight (no detached pages), pages mainly clean with occasional foxing, light transparent stain to the first few pages of second volume, name and 1854 date on preliminary blank of each volume, pencil note on front free endpaper of volume 1, no other markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
