The first volume of the Chicago Club's annuals with articles by the young lawyer Clarence Darrow just before he became involved with radical causes including the next year when he left representing the Chicago and North Western Railway Co to represent Eugene V. Debs. There are responses by the young Darrow, Jane Addams, Francis Willard, and other Chicago progressives. Contains a long list of Members at rear. Bound in brown cloth, spine lettered in gilt.A very good copy with only minor shelf wear.
