Original half-vellum over green boards. Vellum shows typical discoloration, gilt on spine and top edge. Binding sound; several signatures slightly pulling. Deckle edges. Endpapers toned. Interior clean. Good condition. Limited to 250, this being 88. Printed on Van Gelder paper. Initialed by the author who was also the publisher on limitation page. Mylar wrapper.
Collection of slightly altered essays which originally appeared in "The Fishing Gazette", along with 16 very pleasing illustrations. Even though the author calls himself the Amateur Angler, not all the essays are about fishing but also about the birds and mammals he encounters on his Sunshine Holyday.
