Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for provenance inscription on the 2nd blank page as follows; Phoebe Oliver gift from Brother Charles before he left for service in World War I the summer of 1918. Passed away Oct. 6, 1918 in Officer's Training Camp in Kentucky. Came into my possession March 26, 1972 by Phoebe my sister. Estella Cole. Book Condition: Good; scuff mark on the front calf leather board; paper backing to calf board has deteriorated with fragments and edges remaining; silk endpapers have chipping to foredges; text is clean and tightly bound to calf. No DJ. Green full calf flexible boards with gilt lettering in stamped shadowbox. 92 pp 8vo. This is a book of non-religious inspirational poetry that in its preface has many ways listed to help see the bright side and lighten the burden of others which will then fill your life with Sunshine and Roses. A clean presentable copy. Rare in the calf covers.
