About This Item

CHOICE Books, Marrickville, NSW, Australia, 1998. Reprint. Softcover. Very Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Photographic & line Drawings. Foreword by Ian Lowe, Professor of Science, Technology and Society, Griffith University, Queensland, introduction by author, acknowledgements six appendices and references. The text is illustrated with various graphs, charts, line drawings, colour photographs, and black-and-white photographs. Colour photographic paperback binding with gold, blue and red coloured titles to the front panel and gold, white and black coloured titles to the back strip. What started as a standard kitchen and bathroom renovation of an ordinary terrace in the Sydney Sydney ended up as a revolutionary adaption of the dwelling to make it a Sustainable House -- a house almost entirely self-sufficient in electricity, water and waste disposal. The book includes examples of self-sufficient and energy-efficient houses from other parts of Australia, the US, Canada and the UK. A little creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels. The front panel has started to curl. Very light age toning of the text block edges. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. 188 pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Photographic & line Drawings. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo.
