About This Item
[Rapallo, 1933. [4]pp. Folded broadside, text on exterior panels only. Some soft creases and short tears, a few pencil erasures from lower panel, else very good. First printing of this prospectus for the series of three concert performances by Olga Rudge and Gerhart Munch of twelve of Mozart's violin sonatas, held at the "Teatro Real." Basil Bunting was also involved in the organization of the series, and wrote a review of the series in the 1 July issue of IL MARE. This was one of the earliest of Pound's series of formal concerts in Rapallo, and although this item is not recorded in Gallup (and predates those similar items noted there), the text is attributed to him and the broadside's existence noted in EZRA POUND AND MUSIC (pp. 332-3), where a translation is printed.
