Clean, unmarked pages. Colored fold-out maps appear in ascceptable shape, with few tears or excessive wear. Good binding. Good cover. Flowers throughout, most likely collected and dried between the pages by previous owner. <br><br>Founded in 1827, Baedeker guides gained popularity during the second half of the 19th century (so much so that Baedekering became part of everyday language).
