About This Item
Chapman & Hall. London. 1952-61. FIRST EDITIONS. Three volumes. 8vo. (7.5 x 5.2 inches). A few small marks to the blank endpapers of Officers and Gentlemen and some offsetting to Men at arms endpapers otherwise bright and clean copies of the books in the publishers dark blue cloth bindings with gilt lettering to the spines. All three in very good original dustwrappers, designed by Val Biro. Some minor chipping to the edges of Officers and gentlemen, while the other two volumes are very bright, fresh and near fine examples without any of the usual fading. The inner flap of the first and last volumes are price-clipped. Overall a very good, attractive set of Waugh's classic trilogy.
