A best-selling historical novel, specifically for adults, as the author's interpretation of the legend of King Arthur. Written by Rosemary Sutcliff, an English novelist best known for her children's books and historical retellings of myths and legends. She was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1974. In the original brown cloth binding with illustrated map pastedown. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear only. Original unclipped dust wrapper smart, with minor chipping to the head and tail of the spine, some ageing to one edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Very Good Indeed
