Bound in contemporary boards, expertly rebacked in leather, raised bands, gilt leather spinal label. Bookplate A. Bernadardes de Oliveira front pastedown. Weitbrecht (1702-1747) is known for Weitbrechts ligament (of the elbow), Weitbrechts foramen ovale (in glenohumeral ligaments of shoulder), and Weitbrechts fibers (neck of femur). English translation by E.B. Kaplan in 1969 (Philadelphia: Saunders). Wear at the extremity of the boards else tight, contents very bright and remarkably free of almost all foxing; plates bright. Scarce.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good.
