Presented in elegant triple Sage Green French mat sized to 15 x 19.75 inches. Historiae Naturalis de Arboribus et Plantis is an early compendium of the known plants of the time, with an emphasis on fruit-bearing and flowering plants and trees as represented in this plate. Engraved by the noted seventeenth century German engraver Matthaeus Merian. Matted in Rag Board
