Beautiful Book, Quarto: 10.25 inches in height by 11.25 inches in width, 168 pages including the index, heavily illustrated with a collection of important photograph taken by Isiah West Taber, one of California's outstanding photographers, he produced more than 30,000 scenic views of California and the West as well as more than 100,000 portraits. Detailed text provide historic insights of life in early San Francisco, throughout California, also Taber's life recording these amazing images. Book is Fine, very clean maroon cloth with bright gilt title to spine, tight and square, No previous owner bookplate or writing, Jacket near Fine, a few tiny scratches else Fine, shows nicely in a new mylar sleeve. Ultra Clean and most presentable. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall.
