About This Item
A "photosynthesis", a combination of photography and poetry by Vilém Szpyk (1902-1939), the Czech avant-garde poet, writer and photographer.
A surrealist photomontage composed mostly by women's faces, in the lower part a war scene and a mass, on the left a tank appears, and the composition is crowned with the sun and moon on the top printed in red. This photomontage is overlaid with the poem "Tajemství" (Mystery).
Extremely scarce surrealist work. We could trace only one copy in institutional holdings in the Czech Republic.
