Visually the exterior appearance is exceptional, and even internally, the book is also in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation [for a book of its 20-year age and nature, i.e. a young child's book. It is only the missing dw/dj fault that prevents a slightly higher grading overall.Despite that,it really is still an exceptional, exemplary example for its cleanliness and brightness - notwithstanding the missing dw/dj. There was once a group of trees who were fed up with living in a deep dark and crowded valley. So they decided to move to the brow of a nearby hill. Here, they could enjoy the sun on their leaves, fresh air through their branches and the best view for miles around. But trees cannot walk without magic. And the creatures that followed them created an enchanted forest.Outside, darker creatures wanted the magic for themselves. This is the story of how a little boy came into the forest, and left the way open. . . David Melling was born 8th November 1962 in Oxford. His father was a sculptor and David inherited his artistic talents. He took an Art Foundation course at Richmond College, and studied Photography at Blackpool and Fylde College.
