About This Item
London: Macdonald & Company (Publishers) Limited, 1953. First Edition. Green Cloth. Very Good/Very Good Plus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾. Lynne, Broom. 256pp. 1953. First edition. A very good, tight copy in very well preserved very good plus jacket. Original publisher's green cloth - gilt embossed to the spine. No inscriptions. A book that appears very fresh and would be in fine condition but for one soil/stain mark to the margin of one leaf but affecting a further couple of leaves - the stain being about 1.5cm in length. A couple of other much small stain marks similarly affecting a couple of other leaves but the vast bulk of the leaves appear unread. The jacket has not been price-clipped. There is rubbing with slight loss to the upper corner of the jacket - hardly noticeable and a slight chip (about 3mm in length) to the lower corner of the jacket. The jacket is a little toned to the spine and has slight edgewear at the head and tail and some toning/dust soiling along the rear flap edge of the jacket. Nonetheless a well preserved jacket. A very good copy in very good plus jacket.
