Limited Editions Club, 1943. Hardcover. Very Good. Signed. Usually limited to 1500 copies, we can find no statement of limitation in the volume but this is # 598 SIGNED on the colophon page by the illustrator, Paul Landacre. Gilt stamped brown leather and brown stamped cream toned cloth. The volume has wear (abrasions) on the corners, spine ends, joints, folds and Spine. The cream cloth is sporadically soiled. The gutters are mildly darkened and the text leaves are are gnetly toned. The chemise is spine toned and has incipient stage splilts on the bottom joints. The slipcase is is also toned, has abrasions on the opening endges and one facing panel, and there is 1½" split on one edge.
