Fair with no dust jacket. Black cloth with pink and gilt on front cover, lettering on spine a bit faded. Corners and spine ends bumped and worn. Coward-McCann, inc. 1946. Hardcover. First edition (no additional printings). Hard cover published by Coward-McCann in 1946. DJ is included, but it is in very poor condition. DJ is almost torn in half at spine, and is repaired on inside with tape. Spine is darkened and torn in several places, two pieces are missing at top in back, and bottom front corner is missing a piece. DJ is scuffed and stained, has edge wear, and is in acceptable condition. Previous owner's name is stamped on front endpaper. Endpapers have some tanning.; 8.10 X 5.60 X 1 inches; 265 pages .
