Another in Whitman's series of collectible books for children from the 1950s-1960s, all hardcovers with semi-glossy illustrated covers; none every came with dust jackets. Collect them all! This one (#1507) recounts the classic adventure tales of Tarzan in an unabridged edition prepared especially for young readers, in 285 pages an "Ape-English Dictionary" in rear. Condition is truly Near Fine: cleanest & brightest copy we've ever seen! Only flaw is 3 scratches to bottom outside page edges (from shelf?). Glossy green decorative paper-covered boards are completely clean & bright, binding straight & strong; protective acetate coating is intact; no chips or tears. Former owner's name & date inside front cover, else unmarked. All pages show moderate-heavy tanning, especially around edges, in line with age & paper quality.
