About This Item

New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1935. Reprint Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. J. Allen St. John. 8vo., 316pp.plus 4pp. ads. Beautiful First Grosset Reprint with 33 titles in first rear ad page and subsequent ads for Masters of Mystery Story Writing, Peter Kyne, and Zane Grey. Bound in red cloth with titles in black on front board and spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear save some softness to the spine ends but quite minor. Unfaded green top-stain. Remarkably well-preserved with no toning or foxing. Very attractive unclipped first state dust-jacket, ($.75, 34 titles on rear panel), has a couple of tiny nicks and closed tears at the lower hinges and heel. A few check marks on the list of titles on the rear panel. Still fresh and bright and uncommon in such nice condition. A very pretty collectable copy of one of the scarcer Tarzan first reprint editions. (Lukes pgs. 334-336).
