N.p.: N.p., 1960. Original typescript for an unpublished young adult novel. Bound in with the text is a brief typed letter addressed to Ilse Lahn, an agent with the Paul Kohner agency, signed by authors Allen and Dorothy Childs, and a 20 cent stamp tucked above the letter. Incomplete as issued, with an outline of further chapters in the novel bound in after the text.
A group of teenage girls attend a school-sponsored cross-country road trip, unaware that the trip will crack open previously untapped wells of emotion and uncertainty in their interpersonal relationships and extracurricular activities.
Set in Burbank, CA.
Housed in a manila mailing envelope, lacking wrappers and a title page. 36 leaves, with last page of text numbered 33. Typescript on onionskin stock, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, partially bound with a single paper clip.
