First printing, Limited. 369 pages, limited. to less than 100 copies with the original John Henry Sharp engraving of an Indian bound in. Joseph Henry Sharp watched and recorded a way of life long since faded from our view. He painted 212 portraits of Indians who fought against Custer, and for 60 years, he studied and painted the Pueblo Indians and landscapes of the Southwest, but most importantly, he left a rich legacy of stories. Bound in full gold morocco. lettered in gilt spine lettering gilt, color landscape endpapers, housed within a brown silk lettered in gilt. A fine and beautiful copy.
