Paris: Henri Cyral, Editeur, 1929. First Edition. Hardcover. Illustrated by Lissac, Pierre. Collection Francaise No. 23.. Edition limited to 1021 numbered copies. This is #384, printed on Rives paper. iii, [1], 315, [7]pp. Finely bound in black three quarter morocco over marbled boards, spine in compartments with five raised bands, gilt decorations and lettering. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Marbled endpapers. The binding is signed by Glinger of Rome. Glinger was considered one of the finest binders in Italy during the twentieth century. Frontispiece and illustrations in color by Pierre Lissac. Original wrappers preserved. Text in French. Mild foxing to first and last few leaves, a hint of wear to the leather on the rear lower corner. Still a bright, fine copy housed in a custom marbled paper slipcase that shows light edge wear. ; Octavo.
