An uncommon limited edition work featuring a collection of poetry by George Herbert, published by nonesuch private press, in a decorative embroidered cloth binding. Limited edition. Number 388 out of 1500.Private press. In the publisher's original embroidered cloth.Printed from the original manuscript held at the Bodleian Library.  Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece. This limited edition work features a collection of poetry by English poet and priest of the Church of England, George Herbert. This collection, originally published in 1633, contains all of Herbert's English poems, with a preface by Ferrar (a deacon of the Church of England). In the publisher's original embroidered cloth. Externally excellent with only slight fading to the spine and a small closed tear to the head of the front joint. Offsetting to the free endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright pages with only light age toning, the odd spot and offsetting to the title page from the frontispiece. Very Good Indeed

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
