About This Item

Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1945. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Fifth printing of this work from Dobie describing his time teaching American history at Cambridge University, signed on the ffep with a wonderful inscription: "I Feel as if I were going back to Scotland, whence my people came a long time ago. I'm still Scotch-natured - Frank Dobie, On Waller Creek, Austin TX, 12 May 1964." Very good with some light soiling to boards and lengthy gift inscription on ffep above Dobie's. Jacket, price-clipped and with a touch of staining along top edge of rear panel.
