The Boston Theatre, Washington Street was first built in 1854 and operated as a theater until 1925.
Carlotta Leclercq (1838–1893) was a British actress, one of the children of Charles Clark (1797–1861) and his wife, Margaret, née Burnet. Clark, a pantomimist and ballet master, who performed under the stage name of Charles Leclercq. All of her brothers and sisters were actors: Rose, Louise, Charles Jr., Arthur and Pier
Charles Albert Fechter (1824 –1879) was an Anglo-French actor who moved to the U.S. in 1870 after a sucessful London career in the 1860's.
