About This Item
(New York, 2005): Cambridge University Press. Small Quarto. xiv, 648 pages. Anderson's work was written for both advanced students and those who work in allied sciences, noting in his introduction that this is the book he wished had been written when he was a student. He begins the text with an introduction of equilibrium thermodynamics and then launches into a definition of terms, explanations of the first and second laws of thermodynamics, the calorimetry and the third law, simple applications, solutions and activities, the equilibrium constant, redox reactions, numerals and solutions, phase diagrams, and concludes with a look ahead. More advanced material is presented in appendix C. Bound in pictorial paper covered boards lettered in white, spine lettering white and pale blue, one minute bump to one corner. A very nice copy.
