[book has only minor shelfwear; the jacket has a few vertical scrape lines and smudges on the front panel, and a tiny nick at the bottom edge of the rear panel]. Vidal's first (and only) published collection of his short fiction. Contents: "Three Strategems"; "The Robin"; "A Moment of Green Laurel"; "The Zenner Trophy"; "Erlinda and Mr. Coffin"; "Pages from an Abandoned Journal"; "The Ladies in the Library." The book is dedicated to Howard Austen, Vidal's longtime companion; they met in 1950, and were together until Austen's death in 2003. .
