[4], v-xxv, [2], 2-237, [1], [16] (pages of publisher's advertisements), [2]; [5], vi-xii, 264, [16] (pages of publisher's advertisements), [2] pp. Orange-red cloth with with black lettering on the front boards and spines, gold lettering on the spines. Navy endpapers and pastedowns. The Thirty Years' War illustrated with a folding map in color, Frederick the Great illustrated with one in-text map and two folding maps. Part of the Epochs of History series. A smart little set focused on some of the most significant conflicts in the Europe of the Middle Ages and the Baroque Period. A touch of wear to the corners, overall boards are beautiful; leaves show one contemporary name and a few scattered pencil annotations.
