Edition limited to 220 copies, 16mo, pp. [16]; printed in red and black, with a full-page wood engraving by John Roy; tiny break at the bottom of the spine, else fine in original brown cloth and without the slipcase. First printing of these fragments, which turned up in a batch of Thoreau materials at the Huntington Library. Berger, Printing and the Mind of Merker, 29: "This book, the first with the Windhover Press imprint, is a nice little book, just the right size for a fragment.
