About This Item

First edition. The black fabric cover shows little wear, other than a small gouge to the rear edge of the spine, near the middle (see the arrow in photo #2). Owner's bookplate sticker inside the front cover. The main issue for this book involves the deckle-edged pages. While the pages are tight, clean and unmarked, the red-dyed top edges were once exposed to a small amount of water. This has left the tops of those last two thirds of the pages a little wavy and has carried down the red dye between 2 and 8 mm from the top edge. You can see the affected area in photo #4 and the effect it had on the pages in photo #5. This is a rare book, and I would have asked over $50 without this water issue. I have cut about a third off the price due to this damage.

About Turtleman Used Books

Thanks for visiting Turtleman Books.

Opened August 1st of 2022, Turtleman Used Books in Olympia, WA. Address is 108 22nd Ave SW, Olympia, WA 98501. Suite #4. This is a small shop, so some books may only be displayed online, others only displayed in the store. Come on by if you are in town. Closed Monday and Tuesday.

Many of my books are oversized. Rather than ask for shipping adjustments at the time of purchase, the list price for heavier books includes the excess shipping cost. All of my photographs are of the actual product, taken by my trusty little Kindle Fire. Currently we have about 2900 books offered for sale online, with more being added daily. Check back frequently to see what's new. -----
