Gilt a bit dulled and with minor rubbing at edges, and a few spots to exterior. Very small booksellers label to ffep. Generally very clean, if a bit age-toned, internally. One closed tear. Pulp fiction mystery detective novel from the author of the best-selling "Gray Phantom" series of the 1920's. The titular Three Brass Elephants are important clues in a locked room mystery at the wonderfully named Bronson's Spite, an architectural monstrosity along the Hudson. A young man and his sidekick, detective Napolean Brown, find danger and daring in their attempts to reclaim the former's inheritance. A stylish, breezy read for the fan of a good mystery.
