Long tired of being type-cast as a child, even in maturity, "Rosita" was Pickford’s personal project, designed as a breakout vehicle for her first appearance in an adult role. Multitalented Knute Olaf Rahmn (1876-1957) served in early Hollywood as actor, cinematographer, and photographer, with over forty films to his credit. It was while working at Kalem Studios in Glendale, California that he first collaborated with Mary Pickford, and subsequently became her preferred still photographer, shooting her publicity stills and documenting much of her career and personal life. , . 8" x 10" glossy silver gelatin photograph of dancer/actress Eleanor Powell, whose pyrotechnic footwork earned her the moniker "Queen Of Tap." As a child Powell was forced by her mother to enroll in dance classes as a means of overcoming her shyness, and much to her own surprise excelled to such an extent that by age twelve she was opening dinner shows in Atlantic City and performing at private social events, where she met Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, who became her mentor. Between 1935 and 1945 Powell famously partnered with Fred Astaire, Buddy Ebsen, and George Murphy in such movies as Born To Dance, Rosalie, Broadway Melody of 1936, Honolulu, Broadway Melody of 1938, and Broadway Melody of 1940, which featured the legendary dance routine Begin The Beguine, widely considered the greatest tap number in film history. Metal Ring-Bound Hardcover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket Issued. Sturdy Metal spiral bound; 9.5 by 11.5 inches; 10 leaves with photos also attached to the inside rear cover. Undated; 1950s or perhaps early 60s. The photos are not captioned and have not been removed to look for information on the blank sides. The Liners each have either two or three stacks.. Consisting of Five, 10 by 8 of b/w Ocean liners; Nineteen, 4.75 by 3.5 of Ocean liners and Tugs; 35 b/w photos of a wooden pleasure craft. One page of 6 photographs show the process of getting a boat of or a garage through the second story! Seven b/w photos of fish caught.

The photos each measure 8.5 x 12.5 inches. They are in good to very good condition with some light marks and fade spots. One has a photographer's mark on the back. All have a blind stamp for Rudolf Tamme. Each has a short caption under the print in German.
The folder is in fair condition. It has areas of sunning, especially at the bottom, and wear at the folds. It looks like it once hat a string tied around it, given the lines present. Having seen the wear on other folders like this though, and given the heft of the photos, I'd say it's held together quite well.

A very cute photo album containing a total of 113 photos.The earliest date on the photos is 1906 and the latest 1922. The album follows the life of a family in the period prior to WWI and a few years after the war. The photos depict various topics, from ordinary daily life photos to military personnel and even pets.No place of publication but the photos show depictions of Bela Crkva and a few other localities in Vojvodina. The album has a total of 38 pages, all of them with double leaves with incisions for inserting photos of various sizes. Most of the photos are inserted in the incisions but some are glued.
