Hardcover Book. Fair to Good Condition. Binding tight and secure but beginning to seperate between several pages. Covers show rubbing, bumping and light wear. Cover paste down illustration colors are bright. Gift inscription on free end page dated 1916 otherwise contents clean and unmarked. All color plates are present. Delightful story told in verse by Pope about the misadventures of 3 "gentlemen" who set out to prove which of them is the best angler. Unpaginated, (24) double-folded pages with full color frontis and 11 additional full page, full color illustrations and page heading illustrations by Adams. Overall a nice copy of this scarce and collectible book.
